In an Oval Office meeting just now, Trump asked the Baylor Lady Bears’ head coach Kim Mulkey, "Would you like to work at the White House, by any chance?" Her response, per pool: "No."

I didn't know about the delicate politics of “de-accessioning” in the art world, but our brilliant critic Jenny Uglow gives a fascinating and lucid account of it here, with the case history of the Ben Uri Gallery and Foundation in London:  via

Great moments of White House Correspondents' Dinner past. Nostalgia reigns:

The only good thing Trump did was end the White House Correspondence Dinner. I remember watching a bunch of America's prestige press yuck it up instead of dying of shame while George W Bush joked about how he mislead them on WMDs. American journalism is so broken.

Wouldn't it be face saving for all of those who support and go to the White House Correspondent's dinner to just let it die a natural death, with their honor, if not intact, not diminished further?

Because of “Barr’s misrepresentations of the Mueller report, they believed it was important for Congress to know what Mueller’s prosecutors had privately concluded: that a charge of obstruction of justice was merited by Trump’s actions.” By :

Was one of the most innovative, effective U.S. Attorneys we have ever had; Appointed by both Bush and Obama. But Baltimore is not DC... and something went entirely wrong.

The definitive piece (hopefully nuanced and careful) about what went wrong with Rod Rosenstein when he came to DC and became the DAG:

Mueller prosecutors concluded last year that they had enough for criminal charges against Trump for pressuring Comey to ease up on Flynn, reports. Unclear what Mueller thought on this, but report treats this episode as among most serious:

“Privately, two prosecutors then employed in the special counsel’s office told other DOJ officials that had it not been for the unique nature of the case, they would have advocated that Trump face federal criminal charges,” reports :

Completely. And by the way, Rosenstein knows that. And by the way, it would be extraordinary to just blithely overturn a prosecutor’s (let alone Mueller’s) effective finding of corrupt intent for several acts .
