    This is no joke -- the YouTube kids app is not safe. It's algorithmically curated, and we saw some messed up stuff, like a scene on there of Mickey Mouse being bloodily beheaded -- was nested in the middle of a safe video. In the Kids app!

    It's not just teenage boys. My 8yr old daughter was watching an animated cartoon listed (and her app is age-restricted) that showed a sexual act (slightly blurred in the nethers), substance abuse, and self-harm. Luckily I was watching with her that time and talked to her about it

    I’m a 5-year veteran of boxes, and I LOVE my longtime stylist. That said, hits on a surprising symptom of unconscious bias in comparing the men’s and women’s questionnaires. Only the men’s survey takes career into account. 🧐

    Where do we go from here, Seattle? I’ve lived in this area 15 years but how do I face my bus stop now? 3 shootings in 26 hrs? Guns are a problem, not a solution. Preparedness seems a myth. It seems like the only skills worth preparing are running and applying a tourniquet. 💔

    When I took Hostile Environment Awareness Training at the foundation last month, I didn’t realize that Seattle was the most hostile location I’ve visited. I very literally was waiting at this spot 10 minutes prior for my bus. I’m deeply horrified

    Last night it took me 2 hours to get home because of the shooting in Westlake. Today is gonna take 2 hours because of the shooting on 3rd. After a full day of training and I still need to squeeze in a trainer appointment and a bunch of polio work. I’m drowning this week.
