Imagine if anti-gay protestors took over the front of the parade. They would have been removed immediately. Same with when I was verbally assaulted on live television. If it was a cis gay man being assaulted, they would have been removed immediately.
People do not understand what transphobia is because they do not legitimately see trans identity as something to be protected or something REAL - and THAT is the problem. Apathy to trans lives. Indifference. People don't believe us. They humour us. This has to stop.

You realise you can’t actually dictate what people think, right? People are allowed to a) not like transpeople b) not believe transpeople and c) not give a damn about transpeople. Most people fall into category c) because you’re not that interesting.

Identity is a personal thing, it’s impossible to deny or affirm someone’s identity, it’s not up to others. However asking people to suspend thier belief in material reality is going to be self defeating. No one is denying Trans people thier rights, they are protected in law.
You can NOT change your chromosomes - so you can NOT change your sex. Gender is bullshit.
Transexuality is a human phenomenon. As such, there is a fact of the matter about it - wrong and right facts about it. We're still trying to understand it, and not everything said about it which you disagree is transphobia.
