It's one of my favorites too, Cameron. I wish Creem magazine had used your quote instead of their caption, "From the pages of " 😜

. Tonight I finished is a remarkably well-researched capturing of the vast layers of what we've come to know and remember of the tragic events of 9/11/2001. The saddest sections are incredibly sad, but are somber reminders of how cruel fate is.

How cool is this? The actual sign from the Rosebud Hotel on is now in the lobby of CBC HQ in Toronto.

It’s my first day at my new job! I’m joining the Legal Department at Entertainment Partners in Burbank as Staff Legal Administrator. I hope the nice sunny day is a good omen for a long & successful career. And the office is only 6.5 miles from home! 🎉 Photo by ⁦

. I spent a good part of the weekend finishing up , the 5th in the Inspector Lynley series (excellent!) - now I’m going over to to watch the TV adaptation of the book. I loved that FTSOE included long-distance runners in the plot!

. Some trusted pals assured me I would love and they were right! Excellently paced & structured. The reader thirsts to reach the end to find out how it all plays out. I'll definitely read Ms. Goldin's next one, , when it arrives in August.

Despite not owning any of ’s recordings, I’ve always been fascinated by her. A great look at her gay past comes from ’s . It’s not a tell-all nor is it a tell-nothing. It’s very frank & unapologetic. The scale of WH’s tragedy? Truly epic.

. I fell in love with Olive all over again thanks to Elizabeth Strout's superb sequel () to . I'd forgotten the richness of the hilarity of Olive's comments - the sequel gives us plenty (but not nearly enough) of OK's acerbic one-liners. 10/10

. Of all the Lisa Jewell books I've read thus far, I must rate as the best. I finished it today & it left me exceedingly lachrymose, esp. when Dean held baby Isadora for the first time. 😢 This is family relationship literature of the finest quality!

This is marvelous, Camille. So ambitious...so YOU. I love the Comrades/WS double goal! Many years ago, I got to speak to the Nike employees, too, and it looks like you had just as much fun as I did. 👍

Had I known by would be SUCH a workout, I might have passed on it. And even though its 282 pages sometimes felt like 2,820, I'm glad I hung with it because it's really well-written. Some will be repelled by its density; it helps to have read Proust.

Goodbye little cube! This has been my home-away-from-home for the past 17.5 years. My time at @20thcenturyfox officially ends today due to Disney's acquisition of the studio that hired me a mere 6,424 days ago. It was a great run working for a great boss at a great company! 😢

. At approximately 11:46 p.m., less than 15 minutes left to go in 2019, I finished reading by Malcolm Gladwell. It was the 100th book I've read in 2019. My previous high was 71 books (last year). I'm happy to report that I loved it! Happy 2020!

I’m extremely ashamed to admit that, until today, I’d never read anything by . I corrected that just now by wolfing every page of , which was published in 1918. If you think it’s her masterpiece, I agree with you. No wonder it has endured 100+ years!

If hadn't mentioned how much he enjoyed by , I'd've never heard of her or anything about her. I tracked down a copy of her debut, & absolutely loved it. I must read her 2nd, 3rd and 4th books before I get to . Thanks Grant!

One of the very best books of 2019 has to be On Earth We're Briefly Gorgeous by , his debut effort. One thing's certain: this is the single most devastating sentence OEWBG gives us: "Sometimes being offered tenderness feels like the very proof that you've been ruined."

. The single biggest crime in the publishing world this year was not being a much longer book. Loved the OLTL chapter and I would’ve loved it even more had it been about ATWT instead. Please write a follow-up collection of essays (immediately!).
