I was there. Fantastic event, she was always a great inspiration. I got to see this first hand in her 1981 by-election campaign, her great victory at Crosby.
Tragic news. I never had the honour of meeting her personally but Shirley was truly inspirational - always full of such wisdom and compassion. A role model.
