Don't understand appointment of Zahawi - If vaccines can be delivered well he'll be a hero, so why wouldn't the big boys want to keep that for themselves? Also he's best known for defending the indefensible. Is that a worry?

V glad to see this. What the govt proposes is profoundly illiberal and it’s quite right not to support without sufficient evidence.

Given the absence of any benefit-risk assessment worthy of the name, will you and the rest of the LibDem MPs now be voting against it? I surely hope so!

This is not a time to play politics. Some restrictions are better than none. It's a mistake to have politians to micromanage a public health emergency. It's the job for experts and experts only.
