Very human response to the AI bots this week at #TI8. So impressed by how quickly the

team is iterating and how much they’ve gelled recently. Kind of insane that in six days of training under a new rule set, OpenAI Five was competing on a world class level.

I am not an expert, but i don't think that's how it works. The AI is not deciding what to do in real time, but rather is reacting to whatever it sees based on the rules it knows. The flops are only relevant when training to get enough data about which way to react is the best.

You are right. If the model had to look at every possible move it would need all the existing processing power in the world. if the game of chess has 35 moves/tick; Go, 250; Dota 2 has around 1.000 moves per tick. There is no computer or pack of computers available to crunch it
