One way to learn a new programming language is to try and "answer" stackoverflow questions. It's a tough path but has unexpected benefits

Such an algo would take care of generating edge case values at the beginning as well as generate more complex values subsequently

If we call -1 and 1 as `sizes`, we should have an algorithm to grow that size. one algorithm can be `size = size * 2`

it has to delegate the generation to random Int within bounds. E.g. In above case, the first call should be `randomIntBetween(-1, 1)`

A random integer generator for property based testing should first generate the edge case values which are [0, 1, -1]

And since it's pseudo-random, it should support ability to regenerate same sequence of integers given the same seed

And it all rests upon the ability to generate pseudo-random integers with a high probability of hitting edge case. Everything else follows

  15. May 15

TIL - Generating a sequence of random data which has high probability of hitting the edge cases is super tricky business

The city that sends the most traffic to npm's website is Bengaluru (aka Bangalore). Then London, New York, Beijing and San Francisco.
