Watch him closely and make sure he doesn't go into anaphylactic shock assuming he may have been stung. Dogs react differently than humans, it attacks the cardiovascular system and is usually fatal. Throw him a Benadryl if you have any doubts and rush him to the vet ASAP......

When mine was stung I called my vet he had me bring her in immediately for an epinephrine injection. She was definitely stung though on her nose.

This is perfectly acceptable behavior if you view your dog as a family member. If you are lucky enough to have a dog, they should always be viewed as a family member.
