Fond memories of working the Little League concession stand and making myself a basket of nachos slathered in warm cheese and sprinkled with jalapeño juice so I got the flavor but not so much the heat.

I’m cursed with a love for the taste of jalapeños while also having a palate so sensitive that even a goddamned Burger King chicken sandwich with hyper-processed little jalapeño bits is enough to make me all

Yep, had that one in middle school. It’s probably rotting in a landfill right now, still filled with my scribbled Latin conjugations and notes about Roman history & the Crusades.

I’m assuming that they’re gonna use Picard’s audio logs as the explanation of how Picard’s kid grew up to have a British accent, because *of course* he needs to have a British accent or else how can he be Jean-Luc’s kid?

The three Captain's logs seen on Crusher desktop monitor on the Eleos in #StarTrekPicard's "The Next Generation" (1st row) feature Picard's logs from "The Best of Both Worlds I" (2nd), "Unification" (3rd) and "Encounter at Farpoint" (4th). I have transcribed the logs for you. 👌

I was so intrigued by the bizarre mix of chocolate and mint in a bubblegum that I probably bought half a dozen packs over the years in an attempt to figure out if I actually liked the taste (it was surprisingly un-terrible!) or if I just appreciated the audacity of this idea.

Bubblicious Chocolate Mint Gum (1987-1991): Chocolate and mint has never been a common gum flavor, but Bubblicious decided it was what the people wanted, and gave it a go in the late 80's.

I picked up some of that Ghost Sour Patch Redberry and goddamn, it’s like drinking a pound of Sour Patch Kids (tainted by that weird energy drink flavor, though) and is the closest replacement there will probably ever for last fall’s Sour Patch Kids Mountain Dew ‘mystery’ flavor.

Some folks were looking for the current energy drink rankings list, so I went ahead and posted the full list (so far) for all to see and live by. patreon.com/posts/energy-d

how much money do you think it would take for me to convince the picard writers to have an entire episode entirely detached from the main plot, and is just middle aged julian bashir and his old lizard husband going to a rave. if its less than $15, i can manage that

Oh, goddammit. Also, RIP to the guy who (improbably) connected, like, half of all TV fictional universes together.

Aw goddamit, RIP Richard Belzer. I just always thought he’d be around ‘cause it seemed like he always was. A true original. #TheBelzBabe

I’ll never get over the slinky, sneaky and sexy melody/rhythm in a squeaky-clean 1950s film about how badly a sleazeball in squeaky-clean 1910s Iowa wants to defile the town’s super hot and uptight librarian.

Kudos to Fox News for being the one mainstream news organization that’s been any kind of a trailblazer in the 21st century, I guess - all while the liberal lefty news organizations gave up the ghost and locked themselves (and their both-sides-ing bullshit) away behind paywalls.

Pictured: the legions of assholes assholes seeing how Gamergaters and Obama Birthers would click on *anything* that supported their insane worldviews, who then set about building a vast network of cynical clickbait factories dedicated solely to feeding those mewling fascists.

It’s a part of the same cynical hate-spewing propaganda machine that put Trump in the White House and gave us the anti-TLJ backlash. Tea Party + Gamergaters + assholes who will literally say anything for a buck + the internet = bad-faith hyper-conservative clickbait factories

How are there so many of these "anti-SJW", or whatever these terminally online grifters call themselves now, channels that all make the exact same lazy outrage bait content are there? Seriously, it's all the same content made by different variants of bearded white guys. twitter.com/CocoaFox023/st…

Whenever I see this photo I’m reminded of how it obviously inspired the look of the Vader sprite in the Super Empire Strikes Back game (despite the fact that the sprite is never actually shown in the carbon freezing chamber).

They had a perfect setup for this with a cancer-stricken Natalie Portman - who once had an in with The Avengers a decade ago - but is now forced to explore her options to combat cancer by herself in a world that’s been turned upside down every way imaginable.

I still can’t believe they haven’t done *anything* to address what life is like for the average human being on Earth who has endured multiple alien attacks on the planet, the Blip and other aliens establishing a sovereign royal colony in the Netherlands or whatever the fuck.

Feige did a lot wrong post-ENDGAME, but the biggest might be how badly he underestimated the need to create a clear new hook to keep people interested. Instead, we got a bunch of awkward low-stake standalones––fourteen of them!––with no real vision. Kang is too little too late.

The censoring of Roald Dahl highlights the dangers of letting ownership of an author’s work pass to their greedy children when they die. In a better system, control of the intellectual property rights would instead be given to a coalition of their most deranged fanfiction writers
