    JUST IN: 7News has obtained surveillance video of the moment the Champlain Towers South Condo collapsed in Surfside early this morning. According to a fire official, 35 people were pulled from the collapsed building. Search and rescue efforts ongoing.

    You’ll need to do a bit of scrolling to get the the relevant bits, but this is a fascinating thread!

    Again, this highlights the craziness of trying to predict dynamics 6-9 months ahead: there’s so much we still don’t know about this virus, and so much that could change between now and then. But having an idea of the potential range of scenarios is still useful, I think. 45/

    The false alert in Hawaii in 2018 highlighted the need for improvements to its alert system The new rules provide states with a checklist for their own Emergency Alert Systems, and encourages them to form committees to administer alerts at the state level
