    Michael Tracey Retweeted Yasha Levine

Though this was later rescinded, the fact that it was published at all shows how deeply Russia paranoia has corrupted otherwise-intelligent people's conceptions of how political coalitions get forgedhttps://twitter.com/yashalevine/status/972242027399151616 …

This is nuts: SPLC smears @MaxBlumenthal, @RaniaKhalek and @BenjaminNorton as part of some kind of made up left-fascist conspiracy orchestrated by Putin. Comes complete with Glenn Beck diagrams. Next up: anti-fracking activists? pic.twitter.com/WhDGHbBQml

Oops! The Planet! ⓥ Retweeted Mariam Elba

https://twitter.com/mariamaelba/status/971123571899682817 … .. links to an Intercept piece featuring Reid Ross entailing how Assad is propagandized as both anti-US imperial and keeper of homogenous ultranational society at war w/ Islam & backed by intl fascists. Of course the ‘anti-war’ left would be infiltrated.

As they've been doing for decades, the fascists of the Syrian regime are fortifying their relationships with European fascists to seek legitimacy as they consolidate power in Syria. (here's what I wrote about it last September: https://theintercept.com/2017/09/08/syria-why-white-nationalists-love-bashar-al-assad-charlottesville/ …) https://twitter.com/LeilaShami/status/970940271990067200 …

I’m wondering the context in which it was removed. Legal threat? Sue me for saying this but one might be concerned about many outlets publishing more dangerous falsehoods, some who might be getting reflexive support from the Left bc *state scrutiny / Dems / we don’t want war.*

wild idea- i just don’t know why it was removed - you can look at this episode as proof of Russiagate & assertions via Russia, or who knows, perhaps a threat of action by media outlets incl Russian against a nonprofit which in the end silences / deplatforms a leftist -antifascist
