If you're going to moralize on this subject, try not to do it in the most facile, predictable, and lazy way possible. If "facile, predictable, and lazy" is all you're capable of, maybe cede the column space to someone else.

I've sometimes thought that the raging online condemnation of Weiss is overdone, but consider that this spectacularly inane, sub-par-letter-to-the-editor-level column will probably only increase her influence, land her more high-profile media appearances, and secure a book deal.
