"Violent video games" obviously shouldn't be banned but it's weird that people get so offended at the suggestion that immersing in hyper-realistic first-person shooters for 9 hours a day from early childhood onward might have an adverse psychological impact on a tiny % of players

We can talk that about everything, so we could just make a huge discussion about the correlation that the word kill itself make people think about killing. Maybe one or two persons a year, so you guys should regulate the word kill.

Yah I mean it’s technically a possibility, it’s also technically a possibility that they provide a release for any would be shooters. Just no data to support either so the talking point doesn’t really carry any weight imo.

But you didn't address his point of "where is your small faction in Canada?" When the same games are being (over)played in multiple countries, game-is-causal hypothesis has a big problem if resulting violence not found everywhere.
