"Violent video games" obviously shouldn't be banned but it's weird that people get so offended at the suggestion that immersing in hyper-realistic first-person shooters for 9 hours a day from early childhood onward might have an adverse psychological impact on a tiny % of players

You know what has an adverse psychological impact on children? Constantly hearing about kids your age being slaughtered in schools just like yours and the adults that you can supposedly trust to protect you giving no fucks about it.
-
…and then other adults come along and blame your hobbies.

which is to say, there's nothing 2 indicate a meaningful relationship, in the infinitesimal minority or otherwise. in order to make a counter-argument, wouldn't you have to isolate the exposure to games as a deciding factor, without which the behavior in question would not occur?

You realize that you just took a claim of a 'minority of people' and just tried to use it as an argument of connection, right? This statement is absurd on its face.
