As should've been obvious all along, the campaign against "Russian interference" is itself imbued with all kinds of fraught ideological assumptions. Accusing a politician of being a beneficiary of "Russian interference" is a great way to delegitimize them and their ideas

It’s pretty obvious why they would “support” Bernie/Stein in an effort to elect Trump. They needed to pull as many votes from Clinton as possible. They needed to sow that discord all the way up to Election Day.
-
Kinda obvious, really. Clinton was always the big danger to Putin. And by supporting Sanders/Stein they split the vote. It is a very basic and classic political strategy. Anyone surprised by it doesn’t pay much attention.

When media, Government politicians & Intelligence agencies all agree on a storyline everybody better be paying attention and questioning everything. Have we forgotten how all three of them lied about Iraq? We overthrow other countries every day before noon! Just in last 45yrs!

Nobody knows how anyone was helped or not helped. The fact is that the Russians did not want to see Hillary as Prez.

The Russian troll army thought division among Democrats would help Trump. The logic is quite straightforward.
-
Democratic leadership has been far more effective at sowing discord than anything a dozen Russian trolls can do. They're doing it right now by accusing Greens and independents of being dupes foreign agents. Do you really think we're going to vote for

That depends on if you went to work every day in a building full of people being paid to do the same thing by the government.

But that would mean they would have been helping Hillary Clinton, as he was pretty much just being a Democrat cheerleader all along.

I don't see how this is so hard for people to comprehend. Astroturfing on social media is not in itself illegal, but doing so in direct employ of a foreign state is. Not to mention the bank fraud, ID fraud, visa fraud, and other stuff that is in the indictment.
