This seems like a good rule.

tech is no bastion of principle. voluntary non-harassment, non-discrimination has generally not worked out well. they are incentivizing manners. they should have a union to deal with the other end of it. better than avoiding certain hires.

It’s literally the last line of the sexual harassment policy. This isn’t overkill. Not taking “no” and repeatedly asking would be harassment.pic.twitter.com/pQgBCdfF1s

Sounds more like a guide for people with poor social skills

Actually if you were a woman you'd not think it's that bad a rule (although "I'm busy " should just mean "I'm busy"). Being continuously asked out by coworkers you have no interest in can become annoying. And of course bosses should never be able to ask employees out.

Rules are usually made when a problem keeps occuring. I'm certain some people can't take "no" as an answer. Really, it's a reflection of the employee environment

This looks ok to me. No reason to let some of your employees harass others.

According to EEOC / Vox 1 in 4 women are harassed in workplace, on lowest end of stats. Estim 75% aren’t reported. 10% men. Specif guidelines increase reporting. People need unions tho as 75% experience retaliation in reporting, HRs protect who they valuehttp://www.newsweek.com/how-human-resources-failing-women-who-report-workplace-sexual-harassment-687158 …

Google employees all up in each other's business w/ the forums. This policy is extreme. Definition of sexual harassment is repeated unwanted contact. My definition of that would be more than twice.

Look up “man o spheres” also “man spaces” men retreating from working and collaborating with women at work. Seeking chaperones to speak with female colleagues. Executives and management also using HR personnel at every level of company operations.
