There's no assertion of equivalence here, there's a 100% accurate observation that Democrats have engaged in the same exact tactics over and over again

They did the same thing insofar as capriciously leveling accusations of treason. There's no assertion of "equivalence" as to the underlying reasons that they've leveled the accusations.

1) Dems casually toss around treason charges for 1.5 years 2) Trump apes their rhetoric, as was 100% inevitable 3) Dems thereby lack standing to justifiably object to Trump's idiocy 4) Dems get mad when you point out that this sequence of events was utterly, banally predictable

Lots of confused people online can't respond to any comparative observation other than to whine "false equivalence." So for reference, here's something from mere hours ago:https://twitter.com/mtracey/status/960594627597422592 …

Yeah, possible collusion between a campaign and a foreign adversary is totally the same thing as not clapping for the president.

No one said they're "the same thing," but if we're talking about casual accusations of treason, Democrats have done exactly that constantly and so lack standing to criticize Trump when he does similarly.

Congrats on not taking seriously warnings that casually tossing around treason allegations would inevitably give Trump license to do the same thing

We have 1 political party with 2 marketing strategies. One need only read the declassified docs America’s IC agencies release on their own websites. We live in an oligarchy.

You must live in an alternate universe where Trump didn't lead a campaign that President Obama was not an American for years.
