I get where you're coming from, but the level of US force in the Baltics is clearly deterrent only to prevent Russia from stomping them and presenting a fait accompli. I'm not into russia hysteria, but calling a couple thousand light troops "encircling" is sort of hysteria also.

Something tells me that most American politicians would not see the word "encircling" as "hysterical" if Russian troops were deployed to Canada and Mexico.

do you ever consider that the countries that the US are 'encircling' want them there bc Russia has invaded 2 of its neighbors and they are scared it will happen to them? Or is Russia always the victim in your narrative?

Your country has a commitment to NATO allies. Respect your commitments. The troops are there as a deterrent to prevent another Crimea.

Crimea was a Russian counter-move after the CIA facilitated a coup in the Ukraine as a whole... move, counter move. Given that the Ukrainian government is illegitimate, it seems unreasonable to call the Crimean secession vote "illegal"

US shouldn't occupy any territory on any foreign land. US should leave and let the Syrian go back to their homes and their life.

Indeed, also remember we promised we would not do that in return for nuclear concessions. This is a country that has the capabiulity to restart the nuclear arms race at any time. We need to respect this issue because we are literally cornering them.

Anybody buying into the claptrap in this article is a pea-brained ignoramus that shouldn’t have access to a voting booth.
