No. I'm telling you that they don't want to create a contrast with Trump that consists of their own bold policy ideas that benefit ordinary people. Once they get back in power, they would have to make good on those policies, which would not please their precious donors.
And frankly, I wish they'd *desist* ...
They need to convince voters Trump is a monster, but without many particulars, or bold policy statements of their own. Those would become embarrassing burdens once they're back in power, and back to doing their donors' work.
