decline of unions far predates R2W laws. They contributed but even in their heyday, < 40% private sector workers had unions

and anyway, I'm not sure how "we need stronger unions" squares with "employer has right to enforce views on employees"

yeah I took issue with this. It's a gross violation of freedom, so I'm frustrated when libertarians argue this, let alone people on the leftpic.twitter.com/Rx04gaEysl

For the past 36 hours I've had putative leftists arguing to me about how employers ought to have total dominion over employees' speech.

yeah I saw your tweet & generally agree with underlying point, but key argument needs to be FOR worker protections not AGAINST firing Nazis

Cynical/opportunistic people are going to respond in bad faith no matter what. It's the nature of Twitter.

Idk man. I did college debate for 5 years & was in involved in HS debate for 10. Framing matters. Even sympathetic people can get turned off

If people want to claim that explicitly declaring non-sympathy with Nazis and calling them repugnant is "pro-Nazi," they're being dishonest

your lede was that firing Nazis is unnerving. It reads as doublespeak

Yeah, unnerving for the reasons I outlined, not unnerving due to "sympathy" for Nazis. Again, if people want to willfully misread, so be it.
