Such terminations are permitted under the "at will" doctrine but... organized labor hates that doctrine, for giving employers the upper hand
Point being: these terminations would've been harder to impose had stronger employment protections been in place. That's the tension.
"A political rally" that surrounded a church with torches shouting Nazi slogans? Sounds like intimidation and harassment to me...
See I have to disagree a little, I don't think advocating for genocide is political. Have the right to exist isn't political.
He's fired for threatening to murder people imo
everything is political
It was a political rally, but also more than that: a show of force, an act of intimidation, a celebration of genocide and a race riot.
Not quite the same thing as a bunch of political weirdos gathering to give speeches and collect email addresses.
Exactly.
IT WAS A TORCH-WIELDING HATE MOB THEY KILLED SOMEONE
Nazism is a sin against pluralism, which makes it a sin against our entire society.
-said the white man (shocking!!!)
Stop that! His idea is wrong because it is wrong, not because of his color. If he were non-white would you have agreed? I wouldn't.
No. It was a hate rally. There is a difference.
Someone who identifies with racist, hateful speech shouldn't be protected, if only because they endanger other employees.
Wrong. Racism isn't a political position.
Promoting genocide isn't exactly politics. And don't tell me that wasn't what the rally was about, because creating a white ethnostate requires eliminating everyone else.
I saw it as a gang fight. Not different than a pre schedule brawl against the gangsters from x neighborhood. You taunt, next day, brawl day
