The amount of energy one has to expend today to defend basic principles of free expression and free assembly is very dispiriting. Bad omen.

You're making my point. Over and over again. But please tell me how the protestors free expression and frrr assembly were violated.

You never made an actual point. I still don't know what it is, so I have nothing to rebut. When you have an actual point, let me know.

Yeah, no. The point stands. Not withstanding my point: how we're any of the Nazis 1st amendment rights violated yesterday.

You say "the point stands" without identifying any point, so I have nothing to address. Happy to do a video chat if that'd be more civilized

One simple question, michael: how were any of the protesters free speech and assembly rights violated either by the State or by individuals?

That their free speech and assembly rights were violated is not what I've been arguing. I've been arguing in favor of the ACLU's position.

Is that not the core of the discussion? The ACLU defends their right to assemble. Most say fine. ACLU slams counter protestors, we say WTF

How did the ACLU "slam" counter protestors? I genuinely have not seen where they allegedly did that.
