Going from "felony" to "misdemeanor" is a significant step, but "misdemeanors" still fall under the rubric of a "criminalization" regimen.

Agree... but this is a huge deal for anyone filling out a job application : "have you ever been convicted of a felony." Is it retroactive?

Agree that it can be a huge deal for people in a variety of ways. I'm not sure about retroactivity.
