If you were a non-ideological UKIP voter who was frustrated with the status quo and wanted out of the EU, May was not a natural choice.

Obviously this wouldn't apply to UKIP voters who are ideologically conservative, for the most part. But they're not the whole story.

That Corbyn (evidently) drew UKIP support also validates his "conflicted Eurosceptic" stance during the referendum. It was the right balance
