You can watch for yourself shortly -- the questions were reasonable. Extremely suspect for a member of Congress to shove anybody.

It wasn't "an assault" by any stretch but there's no justification for escalating physical contact like that.

"Pushing" and "shoving" are synonyms.

I was not in her way. Her path of exit was unobstructed.

Absolutely not. I made abundantly clear from the very beginning that it wasn't in any way comparable with that incident.

Because that's what she did. In the very first tweet I stated that the shove wasn't assaultive or especially severe. Just stupid.

You need a hug? Or a bandaid?

And I never remotely compared it to the Jacobs incident. It's not remotely similar. But as Ty says, her "push" was totally unnecessary.
-
She pushed your hand away. If you think that's "shoving" you, you shouldn't report on anything heavier than a grammar school spelling bee.

Yes. I've spent all day responding to gross distortions. My initial report amounted to three heavily-qualified tweets.

I've been tweeting in response to gross distortions. As I reported right away, she shoved/swatted my arm for no reason. Unnecessary contact.

She pushed the microphone away. That's all.

Yes, she "pushed" my arm which was holding the microphone. "Push" is a synonym of "shove."

I live in London, and get 'shoved' like that almost daily on my commute. It's bizarre for you to make an issue out it, it's so minor. Sorry.
-
I reported it because it was newsworthy that a Member of Congress would "shove" a reporter over the course of an interview she'd agreed to.

A giant man shoves a phallus-shaped object in a tiny woman's face & cries victimhood when she's not down with it. You're part of the problem
