I didn't compare the stability of the countries. I compared your logic of "despot apology," which was used almost verbatim in 2003.
-
It was also used almost verbatim in 2011 to de-legitimize opponents of US intervention in Libya. It's truly the same old song.

More than happy to "deal" with any additional fallacies you might want to invoke to de-legitimize and slime war opponents.

I think people rightly view the Assad strikes as a direct, aggressive act of war against a sovereign state, so that provokes extra scrutiny.

and by "people," I believe we mean the international community in addition to American voters.

I've opposed those bombings since 2014. But they weren't expressly used to effectuate regime change till last week. Hence, extra scrutiny.

Me: All US bombings warrant scrutiny Me: US bombings to achieve regime change warrant an additional layer of scrutiny

Kinda funny
@POTUS sent $60mill in Tomahawks to destroy $40mill of Syrian Army assets. What's 59 OK & 60 needs congressional war approval?

Declining to back Trump's illegal use of military force is a "moment" of disrepute for those who seek to hold power to account. OK then.

Your argument: Unilaterally rule Assad regime is illegitimate so we can dispense with int'l law, humanitarian law & US constitutional law?
