After 2004 a whole liberal/left cottage industry developed around "voting machines." As usual, it conflated legitimate issues and conspiracy

And many municipal/county voting systems nationwide are woefully decrepit and/or unreliable. That's a genuine issue and warrants inquiry.
-
Then you have controversies around Voter ID, excessive lines, early voting, absentee, etc. All those are absolutely worth debate/discussion.
-
The problem with Jill Stein's nonsense is that it conflates all these issues under the banner of "recount," in a highly charged environment.
-
None of these issues are going to be dispassionately and substantively addressed by dint of Stein's ridiculous "recount" effort.
-
In fact, she is undermining the credibility of people who sincerely want to bring such issues to light. And on top of that, scamming donors.
-
So if you really want to address "audits," voting system integrity, and the like, you should be the *most* annoyed about what Stein is doing

At least Gore put a modicum of effort into making it look like he wasn't taking a dive.
