Dude. I deleted that poorly phrased tweet — which was part of a thread — & rewrote it. And my contribution was in my Twitter bio!!
I applaud you for deleting the tweet. I found it here:http://www.laweekly.com/arts/liberal-pop-culture-has-officially-outlived-its-usefulness-in-politics-7653125 …
TV recommendations — & you know, I’m a TV critic. And getting trolled on this one bad tweet all week, now I'm getting memed.
I'm not a fan of the mob trolling impulse, so I sympathetize in that regard. I also attempted not to be overly nasty about it
You called me an undisclosed donor: I literally wrote about my donation in print, in the lead of a recent column on FOX news.
You didn't disclose it in your campaign writing, according to the Center for Public Integrity. https://www.publicintegrity.org/2016/10/17/20330/journalists-shower-hillary-clinton-campaign-cash …
I felt like I should disclose if appropriate in the future. I then put it in my Twitter bio and in the lede of my next column.
Those aren't amends, just clarity. I didn't violate any policies & again, I am PAID TO HAVE OPENLY BIASED OPINIONS. I'm a critic.
My preference is that people with public platforms be as transparent as possible about their biases. I'm glad you now agree.
I already WAS transparent: I am an arts critic, for God's sake. Spare me the pompous back-pats.
OK, I don't think it's fruitful to litigate this any further.
