One supporter of Modi who attended the Trump/Bollywood event last night (a US citizen) told me he voted twice for Obama and now backs Trump.

A large segment were apolitical and mostly wanted to see the Bollywood performances, but a sizable subset did come specifically for Trump.
-
The overriding concern seemed to be hostility to Pakistan (terrorists in their view) -- I cannot recall Trump ever speaking about Pakistan.
-
Anyway it was a highly fascinating event. Check my tweet timeline from last night if interested in more details/pics.

This is literally like saying Sheldon Adelson & Norman Podhoretz prove Trump has a special rapport with USA Jews.

I literally made no such comparison or no such claim which could remotely resemble that.

In primaries, 60% of Indian American voted for Clinton, 23% for Sanders, 7% for Trump. Is that "strong backing"?
-
Relative to other GOP nominees, perhaps so, which was my specific point in that tweet.

Single digits is not strong backing. And I waiting for any proof whatsoever that they are more excited about DT than est.

Most were there for Bollywood (and are apolitical). From those backing Trump, how many just distrust HRC?
