Well if people's voices/abilities are suppressed by said supranational governing bodies, all they have left is reactionary anger.
Many Corbyn supporters would likely qualify as "authoritarian populists" under this criteria.

The term "populist" is the silliest umbrella term in political discourse right now.
Think it means right-wing populist: Huey Long...the '60's film "Wild In the Streets"...Trump...Le Pen in France. That sort of thing
Huey Long is who I thought of too, not sure if I'd call him right wing.
It's a rather new phenomenon in European politics, which can't be placed into existing ideologies.
