Brexit caused an upheaval in British politics such that a vacuum was created and Corbyn consolidated power.
the conditions for Corbyn to consolidate have been there since last September, this election and Smith's ineptness just focused us
you can maybe say Brexit helped by spurring the moderated to challenge but imo it's incidental
The attempted "moderate" coup began full-stop in the immediate aftermath of Brexit.
