Under a President Trump, the conservative movement would be constantly wracked by vicious internecine fights (like during the GOP primary).

Whereas under a President HRC, they can comfortably unify in opposition, paper over ideological divisions, and go back to their old ways.

This is why GOP operators with an entrenched interest in the status quo (the type who fawned over Rubio) much prefer a Trump loss.
