You'd never know this from most media coverage, but the GOP is more united (at the voter level, clearly not the elite level) than the Dems

Other polls taken post-convention (Economist/YouGov) puts the percentage of Sanders supporters not voting for HRC as high as 51%!!!
-
Media, in its monomaniacal obsession with Trump, has not given due coverage to how profoundly split Dems are, despite professions of "unity"

but 36% of Sanders's 42% means 82% of respondents who're into the Dem primary (HRC+BS) said they'd vote HRC. Not historically low.
-
Perhaps, but (as noted in subsequent tweet in thread) YouGov post-convention poll puts Sanders supporters not voting HRC at 51%

you could also look at that as slack. Decent room to grow.

Maybe but "unity" would not accurately characterize the current state of affairs

are these Sanders voters or self-ID Sanders supporters? what % are registered Dem?

Self-ID'd Sanders supporters so a good portion are independents I would imagine

.
@mtracey If I read your stats right, that's 36% for Trump alone, with 56% of Bernie voters -- a majority -- not backing Empress Inevitable. -
.
@BanTorture@mtracey You're reading it wrong. 36% Trump is ALL voters. Clear majority (64%) of Sanders supporters back HRC. - 1 more reply
