There's a logical discrepancy in casting Trump as this existential danger and then condemning people for confronting the alleged danger.

If the extreme tactics are unwarranted, then the portrayal of Trump as this world-altering menace also must be unwarranted.
-
The way some people talk about Trump -- literal fascist tyrant -- *the most* extreme tactics could be warranted. Like, arresting Trump.
-
The point is not to endorse one tactic or another, but to note the logical inconsistencies in the way lots of people are framing this.

Actually I am *against* those tactics and using logic to illustrate why they are unjustified.

Here is the thing people like you do not seem to understand. Every Riot, Every stupid comment like this is helping Trump.
-
My point was to use a logical progression to illustrate why violence against Trump supporters is NOT justified.

What's defense of violent tactics if they achieve unintended consequence of eliciting sympathy for Trump & facilitate his election?
-
That would be an ancillary effect of the tactics. The principal justification would be to stop Trump at any cost.

I don't believe that violence on him or his supporters would be warranted, as I've been illustrating all along.

Footage of
@realDonaldTrump proving he is a profound fascist threat, and violence is warranted: https://youtu.be/Tu1gj010oa8?t=11s … -
You'll notice I explicitly did not argue that violence is warranted.

morally justified != good, productive idea. It only helps him, and shouldn't be happening.
-
I am focused on the moral justifiability.

No it wouldn't, you fool. You don't know the outcome of your own actions. They might make things worse, even empower the 'threat'.
-
Your thought experiment is poor and relies on unproven assumptions such as any action mitigates the supposed threat.

I disagree. Many pacifists have managed to oppose those who do evil & oppose violence against everyone, including evil-doers.
-
Violent resistance to Pol Pot would've been unwarranted?
