      In Arizona, around 40 delegates are non-Trump supporters, despite being bound to Trump. Let's assume at least 5 are die-hard #CruzCrew.

      The statute specifies no legal penalty for refuseniks. And it seems doubtful that some AZ state prosecutor would be moved to invent charges.

      Talk of "bound" delegates tends to assume the existence of a coercive mechanism to enforce the binding. At least in AZ there's no such thing

      There may be an internal party mechanism for voiding the vote at the convention, but the actual casting of the vote isn't penalized by law.

          .@mtracey Yeah, I was going to suggest looking to the Convention Rules Committee. Don't know, Unruly delegates could lose credentials, or?

          @ZeroGBadillion The rules are set prior to the nominating roll call vote. So "unruly" delegates could just keep quiet till then.
