There was no narrative through-line to Rubio's attacks on Trump. It was just a disjointed oppo-dump. Easy to fend off.

That would've created a real characterological "narrative" problem for Trump. But the GOP's collective action deficiency precluded this.

So they have only themselves to blame. That they kept on the "inconsistent conservative" angle until TODAY shows how deluded they were/are.
