I get the point but I think the problem is that it's somewhat difficult to tell the difference between that particular corporate media outlet and so many of the others, in terms of how they treat their favored candidate(s).

It's a bit different when there's a specific, public directive to shutter all coverage of one party's presidential candidates.

Depends. Is this oligarch a fascist and a proponent of Neoliberalism? If yes, then he would be depicted as popular and democratic.

It depends on whether the guy is pro Trump or Anti Trump.. If you are anti Trump, all your crimes are ignored and you are given direct Hero worship - Bill Krystal, Mueller, Comey, Avenatti etc

Apparently, neoliberals learned from Oligarchs in Russia how to conduct their authoritarian policies. Things like deplatforming or canceling someone’s bank account comes to mind and is pretty akin to such with Russia or the kremlin (not just the censorship alone)

BTW, there are no oligarchs in RU for ~15Y. Not even Putin's pals wield any standalone political power, they do not control Kremlin and its "towers" any more unlike how things were going previously. It does not mean RU is great tho as Putin serves the class of super-rich anyway.
