There's zero acknowledgement of the massive years-long bipartisan policy failures which precipitated this latest Syria episode. People just want to be mad at one isolated Trump decision, as if it took place in a vacuum. Utterly maddening

The lack of nuance, objective understanding and overall stubbornness to reject any thoughts of logical reasoning is the new normal. Tribal groups looking for confirmation biases instead of researching actual facts is what we're dealing with.

Those weren’t failures. Iraq, Libya, and Syria becoming weak failed states is what they wanted to happen.

You're absolutely right; we should have never been there in the first place. That being said, this feels like we just tore down a foundation that we ourselves built with absolutely no plan for a new one. We shouldn't compound mistakes by making new ones.

the resistance if unhinged, to say the least and is so negligent of duty, spending most of their time wrestling for control instead of humbly admitting that there were things that the dems did wrong (along with things they did right)...a healthy two party system is good, not bad

Syria has been very confusing, very fluid situation which has had many unexpected twists and turns since 2011. Many choices not optimal, but of the 'least bad' variety.

Yes, 281 Marines dead in Beirut 36 years ago and Lebanon is, better? Khadaffi gone and Libya is, better? Saddam gone and Iraq is, better? Syria in pieces and it’s, better? Afghanistan, well, *sigh* Some people never learn.
