How long do people think US troops must remain in Syria? Ten years? Forever? (Are you aware they were there illegally in the first place)? Why is it that the media always ends up defending perpetual war?

War is profitable for the media and their corporate owners.

Do you have/know of concrete source that can confirm this? I come in peace (just asking so I can make a more compelling argument for people that aren’t convinced)

Sad that you cannot understand the difference between leaving troops there (yes, perhaps indefinitely) as a cover for our allies (who would otherwise be unable to defend themselves), and those engaging a war. A withdrawal at this point will perpetuate the war, not end it.

Indeed Also much of the commentary forgets that the Syrian Army and the Russian Airforce exist. Any sign of an ISIS comeback will be crushed. The Syrian people know what life was like under the threat of ISIS, they do not want to go back to that.

Bahhh this is why there are endless wars in the middle east because the US and UK have kept their damn nose in it. I remember the same damn war in 1978 with the turks and kurds! Time to let the middle east settle their tribal wars so that there can be Peace!
