I’m not going to call it a masterwork but the descent into madness was thought-provoking enough to justify two hours

Well articulated. The movie certainly has people not only talking, but actually thinking. Seems like a rarity these days.

Did you think it was a good movie? I'm not particularly interested in comic book movies, but this one looks intriguing.

There was no ambiguity. He was explicit in saying that he didn't mean to start a movement, nor did he care about it or it's politics. He thought it was funny and relished in their acceptance of him, but that was clearly as far as it went.

(SPOILERS)He didn't care in his rush, but he later seemed into it. I didn't find him particularly political nor did he seem to care about anyone else (counselor's job gets lost, worried only about himself).Joker realness will change Marvel: NPD with PTSD prone to psychotic breaks

It’s actually very easy. If your ideology is they same as mine then your mania was driving by mental illness and vica versa.

Can't figure out where you think the ambiguity comes from.

Modern politics is a form of mental illness.

There was no ambiguity at all. He said so I'm the movies that it's not about politics but the muppets with the masks (antifa) thought so
