This should be obvious, but for the record: You can think Trump should be removed from office, but believe that impeachment is not the mechanism by which it should be done. There is nothing inherently "moderate" about this position. Plenty of "moderates" now back impeachment

You can also back impeachment for things Trump has actually done, like his war crimes from Yemen to Afghanistan, while opposing his impeachment based on evidence-free CIA whisperings. But Democrats support his war crimes, so they have to make stuff up.

It's tactically unwise: guaranteed to fail in a GOP-controlled Senate and it's unpopular. And impeaching a president right before he's due to appear on the ballot will strike a lot of people as faintly ridiculous.

How come Biden wasn't investigated/impeached for his blatant conflict of interest in Ukraine and China? Will Dems agree to open investigation and possible impeachment if he becomes president? Or is his family engaging in "pay to play" corruption ok?

Impeachment will help Maddow’s ratings recover, no doubt. And despite the notion that this is all going to be about emoluments or Ukraine this time, the media narrative will be quickly captured by the neocons again, who will go back to Russia and other hawkish issues.

By the time this is over, I expect to hear Democrats charging Trump with making a secret deal with Iran not to bomb them, and looking forward to both Pence and then Warren, who will “get tough” with the Mullahs.

They realize that there is no way to defeat Trump in a general, so this is their only desperate option. They will fail at both.

You should pick a valid reason. A moderate considers how it affects the opposing team. Not only for principled stance, but also for their own good, as well. (Blowback)

I have repeatedly called for Dems to impeach Trump over Yemen and in-the-least force his hand. But evidently they don't care enough about stopping an unauthorized illegal war.

Impeachment is outlined before presidential elections in the Constitution. You may equate its rarity to extremism, but the fact is that the Founders wanted accountability to occur via internal checks and balances before it had to be settled in an election.

What are they “moderate” about? Trump is a political bull in the china shop, and he’s put upside down the political order in America. AOC is the exact same, but on the left.
