One thing I'd like to hear more from the candidates is how they'd actually staff the government. That's a huge factor in policy-making and rarely gets discussed. Trump promised "Drain the Swamp" and brought in GOP retreads. Obama promised "Change" and brought in Clintonites

Trump may have brought in GOP retreads but he’s the ultimate decision maker. See John Bolton as an example; penultimate War Hawk who couldn’t persuade Trump.

Key positions have to go through the very swampy senate for confirmation, can’t get them through otherwise. For lesser positions there are only so many that know how to navigate in DC. So they have to choose UNIPARTY players.

Trump did put out list of some names of people he’d consider and chose from those names once in office.

This is a great question. You can't really change the government if you reuse the folks who screwed it all up before you.

I mean, unless you can build a new party, your going to have one or the other. As long as we let them keep getting away with Iraq/Lybia/Russia type nonsense. At least there's a loud faction of the GOP actively seeking that. The DNC is a puppet show.

I very much agree! If you want to truly know a potus, look at the cabinet. The traditional approach is kickback positions to those who helped you get elected and to whoever the oligarchs say (see: Obama citigroup email). The problem is that so many of the candidates dont think...

I was amazed that Trump actually formed a government. He had just pissed off all the Republicans and beat the Democratics. There is only a few weeks to staff everything.
