I basically agree with all the takes about Biden being a doddering mess -- but he's consistently led the polls for months despite Twitter uniformly hating him, which is a dynamic worth pondering

For a long time I’ve maintained that the internet is not a good indicator for politics in general. Ron Paul would have won the nom in 2012 and maybe the Presidency if it was

Doesn't help that the MSM says that he won this debate and most regular people still listen to the MSM and view them as some kind of unbiased truth tellers

He had a huge drop in the RCP poll average over the past couple days. I don't think the debates would have done much to fix that. Honestly, people aren't really paying attention.pic.twitter.com/q24NinA8xy

Twitter is I think 80/20 Trump hate, even prior to winning the primaries and election. Yet still massive swaths of the country voted for him, and there are some areas where Trump country goes on for thousands of miles.

unpossible for him to maintain his lead in the polls unless they exclude anyone who watched or saw video of Biden's performance. also, there are at least 3 more debates before super tuesday

I think people are severely underestimating the power of his name recognition. He was vice president for 8 years, under a president that a lot of Democrats look back on very fondly. Your average Democrat who isn't super engaged in politics but still votes will pick him.

I have some guesses why that is. 1. Twitter users are not very representative of real life. 2. Polls are oversampling older people (land lines).

i could be desensitized but i kinda just assume that DNC/MSM collusion is a given & his lead is just, to be expected, fabricated info. like the process of manufactured consent w/out scruples over appearing corrupt by an establishment that believes it can legally get away w/it

certainly some progressive are bernie or bust but even those who are more flexible draw the line at Biden, i just dont see him getting any support from progs/most indys in a general. surely the DNC isnt so stupid they will again push the worst possible candidate to beat Trump?
