Bolton aside, Trump hasn't started any new wars (yet). He's come close, and he's escalated wars begun by his predecessors, but he hasn't started any new ones. That's a low bar, but still notable because the same cannot be said for most recent presidents

His foreign policy has been a mess numerous other respects, and we're in a sad state when "credit" must be allocated to a president for doing the bare minimum of not starting new wars. But again, still notable -- whether you want to acknowledge it or not

By this point in his presidency Obama had already started the Libya war and surged massively in Afghanistan, both of which were disasters. He later started the Syria regime change op, the Yemen catastrophe, and Iraq War 3.0 (which, by the way, is still illegal)

None of this excuses other aspects of Trump's foreign policy which have been bad (going to the brink of war with Iran this summer was absurd) but it's still a historically notable point of reference

He also gave rhetorical support for Israel's 2014 war on Gaza which killed 500 children. Norman Finkelstein called Obama "The Enabler" of this atrocity. https://washingtonsblog.com/2014/11/enabler-chief-2014-massacre-palestinian-refugees.html …

Let's not forget Ukraine regime change with V. Nuland & ensuing war in the Donbass. Payback for Russia cock-blocking the US op in 2013 to do to Syria what it did to Libya. Objective was to grab the big Sevastopol naval base, never mind what could happen to ppl in E Ukraine

There should be protests every day over this. Our government has no legal authority (even by its own standards) to conduct all the wars all over Africa / Asia. I bet most people can't even name all the countries we conducting military ops in: Niger, Congo, Somalia, etc etc

We should be clear. The Afghanistan invasion was illegal. No UNSC auth. The subsequent occupation was legalized by the UNSC. Are you saying there's no UNSC auth for US presence in Iraq right now? Cause if there is, it's legal.

He also single handedly restarted nuclear escalation when installing ICBM launchers at Russia’s border. This can’t be stressed enough.

yes the obama/clintons are responsible for much of the havoc, but he and his deranged neolibcon warmongers have been trying to get a hot war in venezuela, like the us guv did with iraq sanctions and now with iran - they all work for the mic/eic and its the #blackmail what does it
