Trump mocked Bolton today as "Mr. Tough Guy" and complained that he "set back very badly" negotiations with North Korea, was "way out of line" on Venezuela, and of course bungled Iraq. None of the assembled reporters thought to ask, "So why did you appoint him in the first place"

I assume it was payoff of some sort to keep the support of the MI Complex/pro-Israel/neolib/neocons constituencies. Remember Trump has been facing a soft coup and a hostile executive branch for years. He had to get support from somewhere and that support had to be paid for.

The most obvious question in the world is to ask Trump why he hired Bolton in the first place. But our neutered press will never ask Trump that.

There is no more anti-war left. The MSNBC/CNN/NYT/WaPO left isn’t anti-war. War benefits their tribe. And the “conservatives” they invite to participate in the media party are one-issue neocons.

2 out of 3 happened AFTER he hired him. So, that would be a silly question.

Bolton is a known war hawk. If you support the president, you should be okay with critiquing his bad decisions. The government should be working for us. The media should be working with us.

The truthful answer would have been, "I really had no idea who to put in the job, Bolton was suggested to me and I'm too weak-minded to know that it was a bad idea."

He almost didn't hire him because of the "creepy" moustache. Apparently facial hair is important to Trump. 😞

'All the best people'--for Neolib empire/Israel. Bolton became politically toxic; I wouldn't be surprised were his replacement to be even worse.
