Tulsi went on Dave Rubin yesterday and made the case for abortion rights, gun control, higher taxes, government regulation of industry, and why he's wrong about various subjects, but her mere appearance on the show will of course provoke shrieks that she's a stealth right-winger

I don't particularly like Rubin -- find his shtick extremely tedious at this point -- but to immediately play the "guilt by association" game where it's denounced as inherently evil to even appear on his show is ridiculous and destructive

Maybe she should try to not sell out the left by agreeing with Rubin that the left “wants open borders.” Or that some of them hate America. Maybe some of us are sick of dems who insist on mainly courting right wingers. Maybe then she’d poll better than 1%

Odd, every time I mention "open borders" I'm flooded with left/liberals who explicitly tell me they support it. DSA just passed a resolution calling for open borders. And she didn't say they hate America, she said they're not as fluent in the rhetoric of freedom/liberty

DSA, an influential organization that has helped elect members of Congress and is a critical component of one of the leading presidential candidates' organizing infrastructure, just passed a resolution explicitly calling for "open borders." In real life.
