Tulsi went on Dave Rubin yesterday and made the case for abortion rights, gun control, higher taxes, government regulation of industry, and why he's wrong about various subjects, but her mere appearance on the show will of course provoke shrieks that she's a stealth right-winger

Folks need to just put aside whatever their personal opinions are on people like Rubin/Rogan. Both are great interviewers (with completely different styles) and have interesting guests. For realz, I've even watched Shapiro just because of the guests invited.
-
Rogan actually asks questions, Rubin to me never seems to actually ask anything of note. That isn't to say I don't find Rubin to be a nice guy or well meaning.

Rubin's saving grace is that he actually tries to talk to people he disagrees with. And btw, all those that will attack Tulsi for going in on his show, probably won't even watch her interview.

You are giving them more credit than they deserve regarding their ability to review and change their thinking. As Newt Gingrich said of 'Never Trumpers' -- "It's like they're too stupid to learn."
-
dave rubin wont change his mind cause this is his brand and there's money to be made, but liberals should show his audience that hus thesis is wrong

This tweet here is the reason I follow you. You don't fall distinctly left or right. You're still willing to listen and engage both sides.

The appeal of "engaging constructively" with bad faith actors who absolutely refuse to be co convinced is fairly limited, no?

Why even qualify your dislike of Rubin though Michael? Why does that matter?

Do you suggest treating Fox News and the bullsh.t they flood the nation with as normal media? Democrats need a better reaction to bullsh.t mountain. Just going high doesn't cut it.

I'm open to listening to or engaging in constructive dialogue with anyone who has a coherent worldview they can properly and intellectually articulate, provided they're also open to such discussions. I'm a libertarian, but my Marx-Engels Reader rivals my Two Treatises for wear.
