Tulsi went on Dave Rubin yesterday and made the case for abortion rights, gun control, higher taxes, government regulation of industry, and why he's wrong about various subjects, but her mere appearance on the show will of course provoke shrieks that she's a stealth right-winger

People such as Rubin who create an entire identity around how "I didn't leave [insert ideology], [insert ideology] left me" are usually extremely shallow despite the veneer of deep intellectual curiosity. This is a cross-ideological phenomenon: see also, Never Trumpers

But despite that tedium, they should still be engaged with constructively when possible. The trend toward writing people off (and their audiences as well) is incredibly insidious

Destructive for what? For who? Democracy, a robust public square? I don’t think any of the establishment shills playing this game have a stake in that.

Rubin’s YT channel has a million subscribers, and the vid has 170k views so far. Going on his show is absolutely worth her time. Tulsi doesn’t have the luxury of constant msm coverage other candidates do.

I think the truth is probably just opposite the narrative. I think instead of Tulsi going on to appeal to the right-wing, I think Rubin is trying to appease his more moderate liberal base after joining Blaze by having on a Democrat.

I thought it was pretty silly that Rubin had stuffed letter R on his set as a prop. As if the letter R was some unique trademark. It may work for Rutgers, but not Rubin.

No one denounced Trey Crowder as inherently evil. They just laughed at Dave Rubin's extreme stupidity and cravennesshttps://townhall.com/tipsheet/christinerousselle/2017/02/19/ooh-boy-tv-host-makes-claim-that-jesus-was-around-a-lot-of-muslims-n2288071 …

I thought Rubin was extremely professional with Tulsi. It was a great interview. Not a moment was wasted. I had never watched him before.

I'd expect the people who act that mindlessly to vote for someone like Harris or Biden anyway. Post the interview on your feed, it'll help her more than critiquing her haters.

have nothing against Tulsi going on Rubin’s show ideologically (I like Tulsi and her touch it classicist anti-war liberalism more than most of these goons), the issue is that Rubin is stone stupid and unworthy of her time. There are intellectuals of the right, he’s not 1 of them

Maybe she should try to not sell out the left by agreeing with Rubin that the left “wants open borders.” Or that some of them hate America. Maybe some of us are sick of dems who insist on mainly courting right wingers. Maybe then she’d poll better than 1%
-
Odd, every time I mention "open borders" I'm flooded with left/liberals who explicitly tell me they support it. DSA just passed a resolution calling for open borders. And she didn't say they hate America, she said they're not as fluent in the rhetoric of freedom/liberty
