There likely won't be an "issue-specific" forum or debate on foreign policy, even though that's the issue area over which presidents have the most unilateral authority. Candidates are competing to command most powerful military in world history, but it's usually an afterthought

The lack of emphasis on foreign policy during campaigns -- ambiguity from the candidates, inattention from the media -- allows the "foreign policy community" to subsequently fill the void and enter the incoming administration to carry out whatever their pre-existing agenda is

And the C-i-C authority is hardly the one with the most destructive potential. The related economic authority - to starve and kill the populations of unfriendly governments - demands equal attention from candidates.https://jacobinmag.com/2019/09/us-iran-sanctions-donald-trump-iran-deal-oil-banks/ …

yeah, same for all status quo processes of systematic wealth accumulation. No voice of the people just allows those with power, the managerial class, to do what it does, set the agenda, tell the story.

Don't be silly! Why have a debate on that when we are all agreed: The US does what it wants to whom it wants when it wants. What's there to talk about?

CIA controls most of the mediums of communication and platforms candidates discuss issues on so of course, they conceal their machinations by preventing discussion of the issues at all.

They basically have carte blanche to do whatever with the military, but CNN spent 7 hours letting them make proposals that will never see the light of day if elected

When people say the media is accidentally bias and its not a conspiracy. Well There is someone making the decision not to include foreign policy and that is not accidental establishment bias.

Remember when NYT Anon explained foreign policy is too important to let voters or the president change course? The "steady state" controls that.
